2D Shapes

We have been learning about 2D shapes during Math.  Some of our vocabulary has been circle, square, rectangle, triangle, hexagon, curve, straight, sides, and vertex (vertices).  Today we were problem solving with shapes and how you can turn them or put them together to make new shapes.  The kids had the opportunity to explore with our pattern blocks.  Below are some of their creations.  (Some kids just wanted a picture of their creation, but did not want to be in the photograph.
